FC2 Blog Album

THE ALBUM FEATURE


What is the Album Feature?

The album feature is a way to easily display uploaded image files.
Your uploaded files can all be published and viewed from the Album page.

By clicking an image on your blog that has been added to your album, your album page will be displayed.

The default album page (Top Page) can be accessed from the following URL.

Merits of the Album Feature


  • Computers & Smartphones supported.
  • Ability to select which files will be added to the FC2 Album.
  • Uploaded files can be added or removed from the album en masse.
  • .jpg .gif .png files are supported.
*Clicking on a file in the album will display it larger.

ALBUM SETTINGS

Setting the Link for Images on your Blog

You can change your settings so that clicking on an image on your blog will take you to your album.
You can select this setting from the Settings page of the Blog Management Screen.
Settings > Blog Settings > Post Settings > Image Link

Settings Explanation

Link to the Album PageThe images posted on your blog will link to your Album Page.
Also Link to the Original ImageThe images on your blog will link to the original image.
Only Insert ImageOnly the image link will be entered. (The image will not be displayed in a new window/tab when clicked.)

Setting the Default Album Setting (Add or Don't Add)

You can set a default setting for newly uploaded images. You can set this from the Post Settings.
Settings > Blog Settings > Post Settings > Album

ADDING FILES TO ALBUMS

The Album Feature can be used for both newly uploaded files and files which have already been uploaded.
You can add or remove multiple files simultaneously from the "Upload Files" page.

Files that can be added to the Album

The following files can be added to the album.
.jpg / .gif / .png

Create an Album

Access the album management page and create an album from the "Create Album" area. *If you have already used the album feature, your blog will already have a "default" album.
Privacy SettingSettings Page
PublicViewable by all.
Password RestrictionViewable after a password has been entered.
Blog Friends OnlyOnly Blog Friends can view the album.
PrivateOnly the Blog Admin can view the album.

* Album Name must be 1 to 50 characters.
* Password must be 1 to 20 characters (in English characters).
* 200 Images allowed per Album. 
* Blog Friends will not be able to view your Blog from mobiles.

Editing Created Albums

Once you have created an Album you can edit it from the Album Management Page.
From this page you can edit the following aspects.

  • Change Privacy Settings
  • Change Album Name
  • Add or Remove Images
  • Change Album Display Order

Adding newly uploaded files to the Album

You can add an image to the album when you upload it. 

Adding multiple uploaded files to the Album

You can do the same thing with multiple image files simultaneously. 

Adding previously uploaded files to the Album

There are 2 ways to add or remove images which have already been uploaded.
The first method is simple. Simply find the image you want to add/remove, and click the "Add to Album" or "Remove from Album" buttons attached to that image file.
The second method allows you to bulk add or bulk remove images. Simply select the files by checkbox and click the "Add to Album" or "Remove from Album" buttons.
